Important Information...
-Thanks for a successful Veteran's Day Program. If you have any feedback, please be sure to share that with me.
-November 12 will be our next IEP/ETR day. We only have two scheduled at this point, so it should not be a major disruption to our routine on this day.
-Please do not distribute birthday invitations. Neither students nor teachers should be distributing birthday invitations in your class. As stated in our handbook, "Private birthday parties are not school-sponsored activities and therefore; invitations to such events may not be distributed at school. School employees are not permitted to share addresses or telephone numbers of students in the school for the purpose of distributing birthday invitations." It is important to be consistent with this. Thank you for your help!
Just an FYI, Toth PTO is bringing in national guest speaker Bruce Boguski this Thursday, November 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Toth Lobby. Everyone is welcome if you would like to attend. Bruce is an author and media personality and he will present: "Raising Successful Students."

Our first Twitter Chat Night was a big success and we are looking forward to #2. Here’s the details:
- When: November 15
- Time: 7-8pm

We’ll be looking at what works with students in the classroom who have devices. This includes all grade levels and all devices (Chromebooks, MacBook Airs, iPads, iPods, etc.).
-Our next staff meeting is on November 18. We will be debriefing from the safety drill we conducted on November 3. We will then be having a discussion as a staff about the plans that we will implement moving forward. We are at the point where we have collected lots of feedback and now we must all be on the same page with a plan of action. Also, during that meeting, grade level teams will have some time to examine data (AIR/PARCC from 2014 and TGRG IOWA Testing -- Fall 3rd grade test 2015).
-OSU/UM Spirit Day will be on Tuesday, November 24. Students and staff are invited to wear the colors of the team they support!
-Please read the brief article called, Carol Dweck Revisits the 'Growth Mindset'. Please visit the following website and post a response: http://padlet.com/wall/jcr079k86158
(The response should be an idea that you learned or something that you could apply in your classroom. Please also include your name with your response. Please post your response by Friday, November 13.)
-The Learning Express Fundraiser will be November 13-15. Please refer to the email sent out recently. Please help promote that fundraiser.
-Please send me the total number of conferences you held with parents by the end of the day on Friday, November 13.
-Since it is now the middle of the 2nd quarter, please don't forget to use your gold coin and sign up to observe another classroom! This is a great way to share ideas! Please remember: The goal is to go visit 1 other classroom each semester!!!!!!
-Please continue to send good news phone calls down to me. These are a great way to positively connect with the families and the parents love receiving these calls!
-There will be a Digital Divide Presentation on cyberbullying on December 2. The presentation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2 at the Perrysburg High School Auditorium. It will be open to all parents, guardians, grandparents, childcare workers, youth ministers, home school parents, local private schools, etc. in the area. No children will be permitted to attend. More details will be able to be released soon, but mainly I just wanted to make sure all of you have the date and time at this point.
