Transportation
What can your actions do?
Tranportation's Effect on Climate Change
Transportation is one of the largest contributors to the rapid growth of greenhouse gas emissions in our atmosphere. In fact, 28% of Canada's total greenhouse gas emissions comes through transportation. Our lifestyle revolves around getting to school, work or any other location without thinking about how our careless actions are reflecting on Earth.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words: How can you help?
Bike
Biking to distant locations is a great way to get some extra exercise into your daily routine, and also one of the most effective ways to reduce green house gas emissions.
Carpool
Instead of meeting up at locations separately, gather your friends at one place and drive together. This simple yet, effective method saves gas, and is greener than taking separate cars.
Walk
Walking to local areas is not only better for the environment, but also gets you more exercise. Encourage your friends to accompany you to the mall or grocery store. Don't forget, walking with your friends means more time to socialize.
Don't forget...
It may not seem that your minor actions can make a difference to this universal issue, but be assured that they do.
