Class Pictures/Picture Retakes

Our class picture will be taken on Thursday, November 1st! Order forms went home in Tuesday Folders last week. If you have misplaced yours and would like to order, please send $10 check (made out to Lifetouch) or cash in an envelope with your student and I will make sure your order gets placed!

Individual picture retakes are also on Thursday! Please return the picture package you received from our last picture day with your student and he/she will take it to the photograph for retakes.

We're SO close!

We are SO close to getting our document camera! Another huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated! Because of overwhelming generosity, in 2 weeks, $470 has been donated to our project! That means that there is just $49 to go!! If you or anyone you know is interested in helping our class, please know that any and all donations are so greatly appreciated!! $5 or $10 or any other amount will get us closer to the document camera!

Halloween

We will not be having a Halloween celebration in school on Wednesday. State law allows us only 3 days per school year where the students can enjoy "Foods of Minimal Nutritional Value." Each year, we save those days for our Christmas/Winter party in December, Valentine's party in February, and Class Picnic in May.

Therefore, the students may not wear costumes to school, and Wednesday will be a regular school day. I'm planning on having the students do Halloween-themed activities in reading and math so we can enjoy the day a little bit, but my hands are pretty tied as far as doing "just for fun" activities! :(

On the days after Halloween, I allow the students to bring 2 pieces of candy to enjoy at lunch. Please do not allow your child to bring Halloween candy for snack or to bring more than 2 pieces each day to eat at lunch! Thanks for your help with this!
