Dawg Dish - Updates from MVHS

Week of April 26, 2021

Note from the Principal's Desk

As we wind down the month of April, I would like to thank our families, staff and community for their flexibility and patience as we transitioned back to on campus learning. While we are certainly not back to fully "normal" status, we are on our way. One of the questions asked last week was whether or not MVHS would be back in person in the fall. We are anticipating that, with approval from WA DOH, we will fully be back in person next fall (5 days a week, traditional schedule). This, of course, depends on extinguishing COVID 19 spread in the community via vaccinations, social distancing and following mask mandates. Information on vaccination clinics for Skagit County, if you are in need, can be found at the end of this newsletter.

Below you will also find important information regarding upcoming winter sports, coming school year opportunities and end of the school year celebrations for students. Please be sure to save the dates and mark your calendars for all that apply for your MVHS student.

With respect,

Dr. Terri Wattawa, Principal

Dra. Terri Wattawa, Directora

Tips for registering in PrepMod:

· Each person needs to be registered separately. If family members also qualify please try to register them for the same day. If they have different time spots they can come at the earlier time and go through the clinic together.

· 16 and 17 year olds should arrive with a parent or guardian OR have a parent available for phone consent when they arrive at the clinic.

· The clinic date and location are found at the top of the registration screen. Spanish language registration is available via a button in the upper right of the screen.

· The time selection for that date is the first screen that appears. If you are assisting with registration please write down the time you choose because it does not appear again when registration is complete.

· The registration consists of 4 screens. Save and move to the next screen and be sure to complete through the review page until you receive your confirmation.

· Fields are required to be filled in but you can be flexible with what is entered. For instance if someone does not have an email use: noemail@co.skagit.wa.us. Phone numbers are important, please try to provide a good phone number.

· Insurance information is not collected beyond the single type of insurance question. We do not bill insurance and there is no fee for vaccination.

· All print materials are available in English and Spanish at clinics. We have Spanish and Mixteco speakers present on Friday and Saturdays.

· Information on what to expect at the clinic and directions can be found at www.skagitcounty.net/covidvaccine .

· Second dose appointments are reserved for all that receive first dose either 3 weeks later.

Thank you all! Let’s get people registered for vaccine! Remember that the Fair now offers the PlayZone for kids!

Viernes 30/04: https://prepmod.doh.wa.gov//reg/7912600599 - 10-4
