MLK Commemoration and Celebration
Monday, January 18, 11:30 a.m. in the Callahan Theater
Commemoration of the life and legacy of Dr. King
On Monday, January 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. the campus community will gather in the Callahan Theater in the Arts Center for the annual tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
***ALL CLASSES ARE CANCELLED AT THIS TIME. ***
This year's commemoration will focus on the theme "Darkness cannot overcome darkness, only light can do that. Hatred cannot overcome hatred, only love can do that."
The annual Dr. King service features student speakers and singers who will help us reflect on this timely theme. All are welcome to this dynamic and inspirational tribute to Dr. King, at a time when his message is more critical than ever. A lunch reception will follow in the Arts Center Lobby.
