Star Parents,
Important Information
End of the Year Assessments:
- Next week we will continue our end of the year assessments. We will be taking the Math MAP test.
PTA Book Fair:
- PTA will be hosting our Book Fair on April 30th - May 4th. The Book Fair will be open from 7:30-3:00 in our school library. Be sure to Join us for lunch one day and shop at the Book Fair. The Book Fair will also be open during the Celebration of Cultures event on May 3rd.
School Survey:
- As the end of the year approaches, we are starting to make plans for the 2018-2019 school year. Please complete this survey by Friday, May 4th to help us prepare our classrooms for next year: Skaggs 2018-2019 Survey.
PTA Color Run:
- Join us for the Color Run on Saturday, May 12th from 2:00-3:30. Come cheer on our Kindergarteners as they run, jog, or walk laps while raising money for PTA. 100 percent of the money raised from the Color Run goes directly to PTA. Our PTA is amazing and makes so many of our fun activities that we do at school possible. Our field trip to the Dallas Zoo was funded by PTA. Please click on the attachment for more information.
Parent-Teacher Conferences:
- Please mark your calendar for our end of the year parent-teacher conferences. Ms. Bruce's conferences will be on Thursday, May 17th and Mrs. Oberschlake's conferences will be on Friday, May 18th. You will receive an email today to sign up for a conference time. Please keep in mind that we will have school on our conference days.
Technology
- Has your child been logging into webdesk.pisd.edu at home? Students can access academic games and activities through the Webdesk website. To login, simply go to "webdesk.pisd.edu". Students login using their Plano ISD email account "firstname.lastname.1@mypisd.net" and enter the password Red.1234.
- Once logged in, click on the "My Class" icon at the bottom of the page. Select "My Class" on the next page followed by "Apps" located on the left hand side of the webpage.
- Students can access great apps such as Dreambox or Teach Your Monster to Read from home. These are great resources that can help your child work on their math and reading skills at home!

Every Thursday Evening- Please help your child count their sparkles. Please talk through the "Kindergarten Sparkle Store" list so that your child knows what item they would like to purchase Friday morning.
