WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE LIBRARY WITH MS. V.
This month, our Bishop students will be working on Kindness projects in the library. The goal is for everyone to spread kindness throughout our school and community!
This year, I will be hosting a few reading contests in order to help our classrooms fill out their libraries! I would like to challenge all Bishop students to check out as many books as they can before Thanksgiving break. The classroom with the most circulated books will receive a book from their Scholastic book wishlist from me.
I am also hosting a Bishop Breakfast Book Review Club for grades 4-6. We will meet 1x a week in the library for breakfast and the kids will get to read and review new books each week!! ⅘ Grade meet on Tuesdays. 6th grade meets Wednesdays.
PE NEWS
We have tasted mango, papaya, Leeks and Sunchokes in the last few weeks. In October we will be tasting fennel root, passion fruit, broccoli florets, okra and cactus pears!

ARAPAHOE COUNTY WELLNESS FAIR OCTOBER 5
THE SACRED GRACE CHRISTMAS STORE
Believe it or not, the holidays are right around the corner! Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, and others will be here before we know it. That means it's time to start preparing for the Bishop/Maddox Christmas Store! Our community partners at The Sacred Grace Englewood have been planning all year for a great store that includes families at both Bishop and Maddox.
Here's how the store works: On Saturday, DEC 14 Maddox ECE will be transformed into a winter wonderland with snacks, decorations, free childcare, and a holiday shopping experience. Parents who register in advance will have the opportunity to purchase gifts that are valued at $25 each for only $5 each! Parents can purchase gifts for all of their children even if they are not enrolled at Bishop or Maddox. There will even be a room for wrapping your gifts before you leave!
Please mark you calendar for Saturday, DEC 14 and register your family HERE.
There will be NO PAPER REGISTRATION THIS YEAR. If you need assistance registering online, someone will be present by the front door to help you at Parent/Teacher Conferences on OCT 9 & 10.
