Happy Thanksgiving
Another week packed with learning and new experiences. Our first Math Reflection was very well done. We all were amazed and delighted to see all the different ways our students are learning and implementing math in their math, art and technology classes. Our curriculum emphasizes experiencing math first and then learning the formulae. This makes a lot of sense to most of our students. Thank you Mrs. Hawkins for your foresight.
Student Government organized an after school trip to Menchies and their first pot luck lunch for Thanksgiving. The pot luck was a huge success. The students enjoyed having a full meal together. The next potluck will be on Friday, December 16th and the theme will be "How I celebrate the Holidays".
This week in our makerspace, Dr. Carlson taught the students how to use the music software to enhance their poetry, speeches and to record their own music. After Thanksgiving, the students will continue with part 2 of the workshop.
** Save the Date ** December 22nd at 6:00PM will be our Academic Review, where the students perform in the auditorium and the parents sit down to a meal catered by Stirling. The cost will be $25 per person and includes dinner.
Congratulations to Braeden on his acceptance to Florida Gulf Coast University
Congratulations to Rebecca on her acceptance to Adelphi and Long Island University
