Indian Run News 001
May 7, 2016
We have had a wonderful past 2 weeks in room 001!
We were very busy with Student Led Conferences, Books and Breakfast, Ohio's AIR Math testing, collaborating with Ms. Wenning's 3rd grade class, and beginning our 'Wonder Workshop'. I am so proud of how hard they have been working!
Student Led Conferences
Have you heard your students starting to talk about Wonder Workshop at home? I hope so! We are joining the other 3rd grade classrooms on this exploration adventure that encourages students to research something that they are passionate about or something they have always wanted to learn about. After spending time creating, innovating, asking questions, collaborating, and persevering while completing these projects, students will be given the opportunity to present their projects!
Goals of this project:
- To give students authentic, real world opportunities to refine the skills they are learning in 3rd grade
- To promote, support, and model creative, innovative thinking
- To allow students an opportunity to develop skill sets that are valuable in any learning situations
- To provide an opportunity for students to share their passion projects with others and use the speaking and listening skills we have been working on.
Look through the gallery of pictures below to see what we have begun working on so far!
