Trip at L'Ile aux Aigrettes, exhibition at Pointe Canon & visit The Naval Museum of Mahebourg

Our event consists of a trip at L'Ile aux Aigrettes, where emphasis will be put on Eco-Tourism, followed by an exhibition at Pointe Canon to end up with a visit at The Naval Museum of Mahebourg where the history of the Battle of Grand-Port will be put forward.

Our Aims & Objectives for this event


  • To raise students’ awareness towards nature and the ecosystem.
  • To increase our knowledge of history regarding “The Battle of Grand-Port.”
  • To acquire guiding and communication skills.


  • To help in the conservation of the natural environment.
  • To promote history through the exhibition organized at Pointe Canon and the visit of “The Naval Museum” at Mahebourg.
  • To promote sustainability.
  • To clean the island, therefore stressing on the importance of ecotourism.
  • To encourage the participation of the students in the preservation of their cultural and natural heritage.
  • To raise awareness towards the endangered species found at l’Ile aux Aigrettes.

12.15 - 13.15 Lunch at Monte Carlo Restaurant

14.30 - Back to Loreto College of Mahebourg
