Homeroom Lesson for February 7
There are some key changes to the survey and the purpose of this message is to make you aware of the changes. The survey now has ten statements instead of the original eight. The two new statements are at the top of the survey. They are directly connected to the HRS student survey statements asking our school is safe and orderly and whether or not students are familiar with our rules and procedures. Another change is the removal of the No Opinion column. Our students' thoughts about the conditions of our common areas are too important to continue to allow them to opt out. The Foundations team asks that you make students aware of these changes when you have them take the survey in homeroom next week. You will find your copies of the student surveys and reminders regarding the directions to administer them this week.
Items will be completed in the following order:
- Students complete survey.
- Teacher will guide students through video. This will be emailed out by mid week if you’d like to preview.
Google Learning
The Digital Literacy Team is excited to announce that Google in partnership with CRCSD is rolling out Getting Started with Google for Education program. This is a quick and easy way to learn more about the Google for Education tools. Here's how it works:
- Sign up using this form -- it only takes seconds.
- You will receive an email from Google for the next 8 Tuesdays with tutorials on the Google for Education tools.
- The learning will cover Google for Education tools: Classroom, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc...
- Tutorials will be video/simulation-based and take less than 15 minutes to complete.
Communicating Expectations
With the break, it's important to review expectations-both in and out of the classroom. Be sure to take time with your students about entering and exiting procedures. Use our CHAMPS structure to communicate expectations when working in the classroom.
Hoodies & Cell Phones
To ensure we're all being consistent enforcing school rules, please be sure to remind students of our no cell phones and no hoodies. The only exception with the hoodies would be if a student has had a conversation with an Administrator and communication has gone out to excuse it for a day.2nd Quarter Spotlight Students
