CHARTING THE COURSE, FOCUSING ON YOU!
I want to let you all know of a great opportunity for training 12th graders that are being served through Section 504 or Special Education. If you do not have a 12th grader please pass on to someone else who may take advantage of this training. Presently, we only have 15 people registered and this is a big deal in working with Texas Workforce Commission. I think should have at least 50 students and parents. I am hoping that this information is getting to the right people because I don’t want any student to miss out.

Autism Awareness Month
'Sesame Street' Introduces Family for Muppet With Autism: The move was made in honor of Autism Awareness Month this April.
The first National Autism Awareness Month was declared by the Autism Society in April 1970.
The aim of this month is educate the public about autism. Autism is a complex mental condition and developmental disability, characterized by difficulties in the way a person communicates and interacts with other people. Autism can be present from birth or form during early childhood (typically within the first three years). Autism is a lifelong developmental disability with no single known cause.

All the materials found on the CPIR Hub have been created and archived for Parent Centers around the country to help them provide support and services to the families they serve.
