*If you have received your photos, but are unsatisfied with your purchase, please let our front office staff know and we can have your student added to the list to be called up for retakes. You will be eligible for an exchange with the retakes only if you bring and turn in the original pictures to Dorian.
*For families who want to order from that first picture day 9/9, for the security of each image, you each have a unique Access Key at this point. Parents who did not order should have received an email with the information needed to go online and your students individual image. A MESSAGE FROM OUR PTO PRESIDENT 📢
Hi there,
My name is Missy Carrasco. I will be the new PTO president here at Madison Park. Here’s a little about myself. I am the mother of twin boys that are in the 7th grade. I was also the PTO president for a few years at Madison Camelview Elementary. I love to paint! I am a graphic designer and I do arts & crafts (when I have time). Which brings me to the next thing. Parents, I know it’s hard to find the time to be involved in anything after school. I know most parents work, you get home, make dinner and you're tired. However, our kids are at an age where they need us to be present now more than ever - I just want to invite parents to “tune in” to our VIRTUAL PTO meetings. To be a part of something that is going to benefit our wonderful teachers, our students, and maybe you may even make life long friends!
UPCOMING PTO DATES: OCT 27TH, NOV 17TH, & DEC 15TH
We will meet via a Google Meeting link provided on the day of each date.
Virtual meetings are pretty cool because you don’t have to drive anywhere you can be in your car or at home in your PJ’s relaxing, cooking , having a drink whatever you want from the comfort of your home. We welcome your feedback or if you just want to sit and listen that works too! We as parents should make an effort to be in the know of activities at school. All in all it’s a good thing to be a part of something that’s going to do some awesome things this year!
I hope you all join us online and on Facebook.

To the right you’ll find a QR code that will direct you to our Facebook page (point your phone camera at this code)
Hope to see you on campus!
Sincerely,
Missy Carrasco

A MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL COUNSELOR AND SOCIAL WORKER 📢
Hello Park families!
Welcome to October, as we have officially finished off our 1st quarter and begun our 2nd quarter. We hope that you all had a restful break and recharged your batteries for what is to come. As the school year progresses and we continue to help foster relationships both Ms. Santos and I want to ensure that you know we are here to support our students and families.
As mentioned in our September Newsletter we starting out Lion PRIDE our social-emotional learning. PRIDE stands for Practice RULER with Inclusivity, Dignity, and Empowerment. RULER, an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning developed at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. RULER is also an acronym for the skills of emotional intelligence: Recognizing emotions, Understanding, emotions, Labeling emotions, Expressing emotions, and Regulating emotions. Research from the field of emotion science finds that children who understand and manage their feelings make more responsible decisions, have stronger relationships, and perform better in school. This second quarter our traits range from Upstander to Kindness to Conflict Resolution, Honestly, and Handling Difficult Feelings.
To find out more about Mrs. López (School Social Worker) or Ms. Santos (School Counselor) please visit our website: Park Lions Care
