Senior Spotlight
If you have already placed your cap and gown order, thank you! If you have not, the options for ordering are listed here:
Order online with a credit card at Jostens.com. The cap and gown unit is $44.95 until December 31. After that, the price will increase. Orders for cap and gown only can be placed with no deposit. You will be billed at a later date.
If you are only ordering a cap and gown unit, email me your child’s name, height and weight and I can place the order for you. You will be billed for it at a later date.
Fill out the paper order form and mail it, with a check (minimum $75 deposit is fine; can pay the balance at a later date), to Jostens.

If none of these options work for you, please email me at france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org and we will figure out a plan!
If you have not had your senior portrait taken yet, Strawbridge will be back for another make up day. Once we get that information, we will pass it on to you. Mrs. France will also email each family individually to let them know.
You can always email me at france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org with any questions or concerns. I will do my best to have an answer for you!
Class of 2024 Parent Raffle
The Class of 2024 is holding its annual January Raffle in 2022. Here's how it works -
We have exactly 1,000 tickets to sell, numbered between 000 and 999, at $10 each. Winners are chosen nightly, for the 31 days of January, by the MD Lottery Evening Pick 3. There is a winner every day and because the winners are chosen randomly by the lottery, theoretically, someone could win more than once. If we do not sell every ticket and one of those unsold numbers is chosen on any given night, we use a random number generator app to choose the winner. If you would like to buy a ticket please contact Scott Phillips at 410-310-6264 or any Sophomore Class parent.
A Message from the Wellness Center
The months of December, January, and February are known for being the coldest months of the year, but many people don’t realize that they are also the driest. Making sure your skin is properly moisturized is very important to prevent rashes and redness from forming. Apply lotion or moisturizing cream to your entire body and Vaseline to lips every day. Also, as a reminder, wear sunscreen year-round. It is strongly recommended, as the sun’s rays can be just as harmful to the skin when bouncing off the snow as they are in the summertime.
Skin isn’t the only body part to be affected by the dryness of winter. Your eyes need extra moisture in the form of eye drops due to crisp, outdoor air and indoor heating units. You also need to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays with sunglasses. Snow has been proven to reflect nearly 80 percent of the sun’s rays, and these rays can cause many forms of eye damage.
