'Guardian of the Shield' Students of the Month
A shield provides protection to the one who bears it. Aquin Schools strive to provide each student with a shield of Responsibility, Respect, Faith, Leadership, Service, Knowledge and Character. Each month from October through April, Aquin is recognizing three students who display the month’s quality of the shield. Students are nominated by staff and faculty at both campuses and then selected by Administration.
Knowledge is October’s shield and Aquin Schools are proud to announce their ‘Students of the Month’ for October: Senior High--Arja Kumar, Junior High--Abbott Thruman, Elementary--Megan Holder.
All will be awarded with a Free Jean Day!
If you are interested in learning more about Aquin’s ‘Guardian of the Shield’ sponsor program, or want to learn more about joining the Aquin family, please contact Laura at 815-235-3154 x 226.

Aquin presents . . .
This year the theater department will be presenting ‘The Bold, The Young, And The Murdered’--a murder, mystery, comedy soap opera in its last days. The villain would rather have soup than act. The psychopathic heroines are hilarious and the executive producer is giving the cast an ultimatum to complete the episode or they’re all fired. The murders ensue and the laughs just keep coming. The end will surprise all.
Tickets are on sale now in the Aquin Business Office at 1419 South Galena in Freeport or you can get your tickets at the door: $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students. Showtimes in the Aquin Auditorium are 7:00 on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11, or come to the 2:00 Matinee on Sunday, November 12. You won’t be disappointed!
Aquin's Canned Food Drive is ON!
Students are busy working on ways to top last year's canned food drive which fills the shelves of FACC. We hold a class competition for the 'Most Pounds Donated' by grades 7-12. If you are interested in donating with credit going to a certain class, please contact a class member directly. Or, bring your donation to the office labelled with the grade to which the donation should be credited. If you have any questions, please contact Connie at 815-235-3154 x 230.
