Looking for new books to motivate your readers and writers? Look no further! Author and teacher Karen Biggs-Tucker will be visiting the QCA Saturday, October 24th at the Rock Island Public Library to discuss the best new books for K-8 students. Karen is the author of Transforming Literacy Teaching in the Era of Higher Standards and will be sharing her expertise with us as we learn together. Breakfast is free and starts at 9:30 am and we will begin the presentation promptly at 10:00. This event is free for members and $10 for non-members.
