News from Glen Crest Middle School: May 16, 2021
From the Principal
It's hard to believe but this is our last full week of school! Most of the students finished MAP testing last week. Some have make-ups to complete this week. Results will be mailed home with report cards and placement letters the end of next week.
All library books are due tomorrow!! Students need to have all of their materials returned in order to receive their yearbook. It starts with library books tomorrow. Please remind them to find their books tonight so that they can return them tomorrow.
The teachers will be collecting textbooks throughout the week as they are no longer needed. All technology will be collected on May 25th for our in-person students. Remote students will be able to return their technology on May 26th. Any family using a district issued hot spot is also asked to return that on May 26th. Students enrolled in summer school can keep their technology until the end of summer school.
6th and 7th grade - students will be having an assembly Friday morning to celebrate all of their amazing accomplishments through all of the uncertainty the past 14 months. The assembly will be held outside on Friday morning. Students are welcome to bring a beach towel to sit on or they can sit in the grass. The Chicago Boyz, a fast paced acrobatic tumbling group will be performing.
8th grade parents - please remember to RSVP for the Achievement Ceremony (graduation) using this link if you haven't already done so: Achievement Ceremony Please respond to the survey even if you do not plan for your student to attend.
Payment is also past due for the BBQ and can be submitted through this link ASAP:

You can also pay with a check made payable to the "Glen Crest PTC" for $15. Checks should be dropped off in the office tomorrow.
The 8th grade BBQ is Friday and so far the weather looks good! Students should bring a beach towel to sit on for lunch, a water bottle and sunscreen. We will be outside for the whole afternoon!
School supply kits are now available to order through the PTC and Carlson's. The kits are compiled and available for pick up on the schedule pick-up days in August. No shopping or trying to find all of the items! This is a service offered by the PTC and not a fundraiser. Here is the link if you would like to order:
