Message from the Principal

Good morning EPK families,

It's already February! We have had a busy month of January and we have made it through that cold snap without any issues, however, now that the weather has warmed up, several winter items have turned up in our lost and found. Please take a moment to check it out next time you come to the school. Our renovations are moving along and you will find attached below an update from our contractor, Jen-Col.

Swimming lessons have started and children have really been enjoying their time in the water. They come back from their lessons with quite an appetite, so adding an extra snack on swimming days would be appreciated.

This week is Teachers' Convention so there won't be school on Thursday and Friday as teachers will be busy doing professional development.

As it will be a short week for most of you, I wish you all a great long weekend.

God bless,

Mme Lafrance

Accountability Pillar Survey - Alberta Education

Dear Elk Island Catholic School Families,

Alberta Education will be conducting the annual Accountability Pillar Survey in the new year. Parents of students in grade 4, 7 and 10 will receive a mailed survey from Alberta Education (if the school has fewer than 120 students, parents of students in grades 4-12 will receive the survey in the month of January)

As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education to ensure that we are equipping students for success.
