Mr. Doyle's Message
Creekside Middle School will be hosting a special Bring Your Vet to Breakfast on Thursday, November 10th from 7:30am to 8:15am. Students and their veteran family members are invited for a special opportunity to have breakfast and give thanks for their service compliments of Creekside Middle School and the Creekside PTO. Please use the link below to let us know how many people will be joining. We ask that you RSVP by Tuesday, October 25th. Rake-A-Thon!
Small teams of students and adult volunteers will split up and rake front yards for houses that have signed up by Friday, October 28th! If your student would like to sign up, please consider signing up as an adult to help drive. Each team will rake 5 or so yards in a similar location. There's no charge for yards to be raked!

7th Grade
MATH:
7th grade Math is finishing up our 2nd unit for the year. Students should be having their test in the next couple of days going over Multiplying and Dividing Rational Numbers. In our next unit, students will be learning about expressions which will build some foundational blocks in algebraic thinking.
ADVANCED MATH
Advanced math just finished our solving equations assessment. We are continuing that skill in our next unit of able relationships. Students will be solving equations to find the measure of the angle.
LITERACY:
Students will soon be embarking on Collection Four: Risk and Exploration. In this unit, students will trace and evaluate arguments on whether space/ocean exploration is worth the cost. Ultimately, students will be writing their own arguments.
DUAL LITERACY:
In 7th grade Dual we are finishing our unit 1 by comparing fiction and no fiction literature using different passages such as myths, legends and articles. En literatura de 7mo grado de dual estamos comparando literatura de ficción y no ficción, analizado distintos textos como mitos, leyendas y artículos periodísticos.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
In Social Studies, we have just finished looking at the beginnings of European exploration and how the America’s were found. In our new unit, we are focusing on the 13 English colonies, creation, life, government and economy.
SCIENCE:
The 7th graders are learning about Cells and Microscopes. They have been and will continue using microscopes to study animal and plant cells. Soon they will make slides of their own cells!!!
