Message from the Principal

Hamilton Community,

As we reflect on the many things for which we are thankful, I want to take this opportunity to share just a few of them with you: We are thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn – they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here. We are thankful for the support of the parents in creating an outstanding partnership for our students. We are thankful for our teachers, and staff who really care about student achievement and have the best interests of our students at heart. We are also thankful for our volunteers who enthusiastically contribute so much to our school. For this, we are ever so thankful.

I would like to wish all of you and your families a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

WELCOME MR. RAMIREZ!!!! P.E. and Intervention Teacher

Hi, my name is Chris Ramirez. This is my first year at Hamilton. I earned my BA from CSU Fullerton then went onto Cal Poly Pomona where I earned my teaching credential and my Masters Degree in education. Sports has always been a big part of my life. Growing up I played baseball, basketball, football and soccer. I am probably one of the biggest Anaheim Ducks fans out there, and I love hockey in general. Baseball is my other favorite sport, go Dodgers! I also use to coach a Jr High basketball team for 4 years.

I am so excited to be at Hamilton and working with these awesome students!

Featuring Kindergarten Stars!

Excellent Attendance

Hamilton wants to celebrate students with excellent attendance! Every month that students earn perfect attendance will earn a perfect attendance tag. Perfect attendance means that the child was in school on time everyday. Excused absences do not count towards perfect attendance. If a child earns 7 or more perfect attendance tags, they are invited to the Excellent Attendance Field Day at the end of the school year!

Cultural Fair

Don't miss this event! Please come and get your passport to travel the Hamilton Cultural Fair. Passports will be on sale the week before the event and at the event.

The Cultural Fair at Hamilton is right around the corner, on Friday, December 2! This is such a fun (and delicious!) way to learn about all the amazing cultures represented at our school. Can you help make it all happen? We need volunteers for ticket sales AND to help man booths at the event itself. You can sign up on Shutterfly at hamiltonvolunteers.shutterfly.com. Questions? Please email Yaron Antebi, Cultural Fair chair, at ayaron@caltech.edu.

Annual Fund Update!

Bobcats, all the fundraising we've done thus far is WORKING! We are halfway to our Annual Fund goal of raising $100,000 to support the programs (and people!) who wouldn't be around if it wasn't for the extra push that this money makes possible. We've raised $48,000 in the past four months--not too shabby!

In case it slipped your mind, Annual Fund helps pay for the library, the librarian (our own wonderful Janet Kitani), the computer lab, and of course the computer lab teacher, the fantastic Nichole Anderson. We also have a PE teacher at Hamilton Mr. Ramirez for the first time in recent memory thanks to the Annual Fund! We are making excellent progress toward our goal. Please continue to support our school and our students in the months ahead: we've still got $52,000 to raise to keep these programs running. Luckily there are plenty of fun events coming up to make it as painless as possible! Hope to see you!

Uniform Sales!!!

Uniform Sales Update
Hamilton school uniforms are sold every Friday at assembly! Usually you'll see the sales table set up outside near where we gather for assembly, but if it's raining, you'll need to go to the MPR to select the latest in Bobcat-wear. Questions about uniform sales? Please contact Priya Raghu at priraghu@gmail.com.

Red Ribbon Week was a Blast!

The students has so much fun at the assemblies and doing the awesome Obstacle Course. The door decorating contests were awesome too! Check out the winning door by Ms. Ysassi!

Fall Festival was a Success!

The Fall Festival was an excellent event! Thank you to all of the parents that worked so hard to make this happen! Thanks you to teachers and families that attended. This was a great community builder for Hamilton! The Hamilton Annual Fund and PTA worked to together and also split the profits. Each group earned $1500. The true success was the happiness on the children's faces. Great job Hamilton Community!
