A Note From Mrs. Burst
Happy Wednesday Edgar Road Families!
It is hard to believe the end of the year is already here. As we wrap up this year it is time to plan for next year at the same time. A team of professionals (teacher aides, counselor, and classroom teachers) met to plan class placements for the following school year. We looked at many pieces of data, information shared from the Parent Input Survey, and considered many factors that contribute to classroom placement.
We know that starting in a new grade level, with a new teacher, and classmates can be stressful to some students. Therefore, we will have a special event called Movin’ Up Day! On May 23rd, current classroom teachers will announce who each student will have as a teacher during the 2023-2024 school year. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade will then move up to their new classroom to see their room, meet their teacher, hear a little about the next grade, and ask questions. This will eliminate the summer stress of wondering “which friends are in their class” and “what their teacher will be like.”
Teacher assignments for the 23-24 school year are as follows:
Kindergarten: Mrs. Cocos, Mrs. Eagan, Mrs. Sachtleben
1st Grade: Mrs. Lawson, Mrs. Fossell, Mrs. Griggs
2nd Grade: Mrs. Tebbe, Mrs. Henrickson, Mrs. Beckermann, and a teacher (that will be formally announced pending Board of Education Approval)
3rd Grade: Mrs. Clukies, Mrs. Jablonowski, Mrs. Schmeer, Mrs. Wilkes
4th Grade: Mr. Hake, Ms. Bouvatte, Ms. Birch
5th Grade: Mr. Eckrich, Mr. Hunsinger, Mrs. Ly
Specialists:
Music - Mrs. Kissick Art - Mrs. Lee P.E. - Mr. Jordan and Ms. Schrappen
Project Plus - Mrs. Pott Library - Mrs. Wright Reading - Mrs. Deniszczuk and Mrs. Marshall
