Nice to Meet You!

An Brief Intro to Your New Campus Admin Team:

Campus Principal: Sharon Heier

Hello Timber Creek! This is an incredibly exciting time for all of us. I know that many of you have been curious about the 'new people' in the office. I hope I can ease your anxiety by saying that Timber Creek is everything and more than I ever expected! From the moment I walked on campus I have felt welcomed and honored to be serving you and the entire community.

I am sure that you have read my professional biography that was posted by LISD, but what you may not know is that I am also a proud wife, mother, step-mother, and grandmother. You also may have been wondering how to pronounce my last name. 'Heier' rhymes with fire and wire. I hope this helps :o) I also know that you probably are wondering where I am from originally -- I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I have lived in Texas over 20 years.

These are just a few details about me, but I envision that over time we will all get to know more about each other. We all have a purpose, and together we will grow to appreciate and respect what we each have to offer the TCE community! Thank you for the honor of serving as your principal.

Assistant Principal: Amy Acosta

Greetings Timber Creek Family! I can't tell you how incredibly excited and sincerely honored I am to become a part of your learning organization. I have heard so many wonderful things about you and your campus, and everyone I have come into contact with has been so welcoming and friendly!

I come to you with three years of administrative experience from Peters Colony ES. Prior to becoming an AP, I worked for 7 years as a teacher at Bridlewood ES. I began my career in education in 1994 in Alief ISD near Houston, and after four years there, I took advantage of an awesome opportunity to teach for the next five years in Colombia, South America.

I am married and am a very proud mom. My daughter is 12 yrs old and is going into the 7th grade. She is our soccer girl. My son is 8 yrs old and is going into the 3rd grade. He is going to try out baseball this fall. I also have an amazing grown-up stepdaughter who lives in Austin.

I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know you this year. It is my great pleasure to have this opportunity to serve as your AP.

We're Looking Forward to a Great Year!
