Halloween Parade - October 31st

Titus's Annual Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday, October 31st at 1:45pm. Classroom parties will take place immediately following the parade and will conclude at 2:45pm in order to prepare for dismissal.

Titus Honors United States Military Veterans

In November, the windows of the office rotunda will be filled with pictures of United States military personnel. If you have a family member who served or is currently serving in any branch of the US military, please send in a picture of them (picture size 4x6 or smaller) along with this information:

1-Veteran’s name 2- Branch of service 3- Wars fought (if any)

4- Student(s)’ name 5- Relationship to veteran

Please know that only adults will handle the pictures. We will scan them and return them to you. Pictures need to be sent to the office marked Wall of Honor by Thursday, October 24th. Thank you! Important- If your picture is received after the deadline, it will not be included in the assembly slide show and we cannot guarantee that it will be on the Wall by Veterans Day. Please note that if you sent in a picture in a previous year, you do not need to resend it. We keep them from year to year; however, if the child who initially brought in the photo has moved on to middle school, we may not have a copy of the picture. If you need to update any information, such as additional children now attending Titus, or to check if we have the picture, please email Mrs. Schorpp ASAP at hniemeyerschorpp@cbsd.org

Author Visit - Grades 4-6

Author John David Anderson will be visiting Titus 4th through 6th graders on the afternoon of Thursday, October 17th. Anderson wrote the novel Posted, Tamanend's One School One Book selection, Ms. Bixby's Last Day, a former Reading Olympics selection, and many, many other wonderful books.

Flu Shot Reminder

Now is the time to think about "Flu Season". Flu vaccinations should be given beginning late September to early October to give your body's immune system time to respond and build antibodies against the flu.

Contact your child's health care provider and set up an appointment to get your FLU shot!

Box Tops for Education

Have you downloaded the new Box Tops for Education app yet? Scan your store receipts for instant credit! Box Tops has recently added the ability to assign your scanned receipts to your child’s classroom count! Make sure you have the most recent version of the app; scan your receipt; look for the star at the bottom that says CREDIT; type in your child’s teacher’s last name (e.g. HENRY). Going forward, the app will autofill your teacher entry. If you have multiple children, you can edit the CREDIT field before saving your entry. To update previous scans, go to My Earnings; click on an entry; give credit; type in your child’s teacher’s last name. Note, you must do this for each previous entry. Please only type in one teacher’s last name per scan. Questions? Check here for more details. Thank you for your patience and support as Box Tops for Education moves to a digital format, and don’t forget that traditional “clip” Box Tops can still be sent in to your child’s classroom.
