Principal’s Prose
I hope that everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine (finally) and nice weather! As these weeks get busier and the work that must be done rounds out our daily schedules, be sure that you are making the time to take care of yourselves and those who support and encourage you. My hope is that the open professesional development schedule last Friday allowed you to learn, recharge and ready your minds and bodies for the journey to come. As we look forward to rounding out this most interesting month, just know that your work is appreciated and so are you!
As we move forward within our commitment to our students, remember that continuous growth should always remain a top priority. With progress reports due, students and their parents will want to know simply “how to get better”. This question should also drive our work and our approach to what we do. The quality of our practices have the greatest impact on what happens each day at Sudie in and out of the classroom, and remains the top indicating factor of student achievement. In short, the more we are willing to become better, the better off our students will be! As we look to “sharpen the Sudie TAG saw” in regards to all things we do for our students, I’m encouraging each of us to commit to getting better ONE practice at a time. If we set our mindsets to growth and remain FOCUSED on what we want to improve upon, success WILL come...and soon!
Looking ahead Lions, things are about to get really interesting and real! With recruitment season set to start, large scale programs on deck, district competitions underway, and so many other competing priorities at hand, commitment, focus and determination will be what sustains us. If keep growing, stay focused and keep the “main thing the main thing”, we WILL reflect exactly what our students deserve from us all, nothing less than our very BEST!
Make it a GREAT GROWTH week!
Sincerely,
MJ
