Oprah Winfrey is an entrepreneur who created Harpo Inc. a company which produces various films and television shows.

In 1986 Oprah Winfrey founded Harpo Incorporated. Based in Chicago, the company has helped to produce various movies and t.v. shows

Oprah never really saw education as a needed skill until she moved in with her very strict father at the age of 14. He made her read a new book every week and write him a book report on it. He expected the best out of her and she delivered. She was an honor roll student throughout high school. She was so involved in her schoolwork, that she received a full scholarship to Tennessee State University. While there she majored in Speech Communications and Performing Arts

Working Experience

Oprah had many jobs within the field of broadcasting. She was a radio show host, news anchor and a talk show host. It all started in 1984 when she had earned a lot of respect and had her first broadcast of A.M. Chicago which had huge ratings. She worked there until she was moved to Baltimore to host the WJZ-TV radio show. And then she became the first ever black TV news anchor reporter, she was working under WTVF-TV at the time. After her many successes, she decided to start, "The Oprah Winfrey Show"
