#HeartoftheHive February 27-March 3
A Note From Your Principal
Dear IES Families,
Wow! What an awesome week in the hive. Our very first IES Multicultural Fair was a huge success! Our students showed all that they had learned as they presented their research and displayed their learning for families to enjoy! Our Buzzy’s Rock and Run has been such a success already. We continue to meet goal after goal because of the support of families like you! Please see the upcoming events and important details listed below. If you missed the sign up for Good News Club, and the first session, you can still register. It is now open to all grade levels for the first time even though the flyer states that is exclusively for grades 3-5.

Buzzy’s Rock 'N' Run
Our fundraiser is off to a great start! This year's goal is to help the students and teachers of IES by providing a shelter for shade and rest on the field. We would also love more "Play-Aways" in the library. They have been such a hit with the students! You can help us raise money for our BEEyond amazing school by being a part of it all.
We are not requesting pledges per lap, but instead are requesting flat donations. Students can collect donations either in person by cash or check (IES PTA), or by way of a personal online pledge page at irmoepta.myfunrun.com.
Here’s How:
--Find Donate to Participant on the left side of the home screen.
--Search by your child’s participant code -OR- by name.
Click on the flyer for details about the rewards and prizes our students, classes and school can earn. Many have already earned charms, food treats from local restaurants, classroom rewards like dance parties, show and tell, bring a stuffy to school day and more. As a school the students have earned their first reward—Pajama Day and are rapidly working their way to up to the next prize levels.
Thank you to everyone that has donated and shared this information with your friends, neighbors and family. Let’s keep it going so we can reach our goal!
Buzzy's Rock and Run Volunteers Needed
We will need volunteers each morning to help hand out prize charms to students for donations collected. If you have an hour to spare first thing one morning, please follow the link and sign up to help!
Good News Club is still accepting children who may want to join! The flyer states grades 3-5 but student K-5 are being accepted!
