MAP Reports
Please keep in mind that MAP scores are one piece of the puzzle. We encourage our teachers to use classroom data to drive instruction. MAP reports can definitely give insight, however, we mostly use these reports to assess growth from fall to winter and winter to spring. We rely on our daily observations and assessments for instructional methods and grouping.
Your child may receive a RIMP (reading improvement and monitoring plan) if he/she did not receive a reading RIT score that is deemed "on track" by the Ohio Department of Education. First graders must score a 151 to be considered "on track" by ODE. Second graders must score a 170 to be considered "on track". If your child receives a RIMP, your child's teacher will call you to discuss the letter and what he/she will be doing to provide extra reading support in the classroom. This may or may not include Title reading services outside of classroom reading instruction.
If you have questions, please call Ms. Holzhauer.
Office Reminders
- Please bring your ID to sign your student out of school (please communicate this to anyone on your child's emergency pick-up list as well). This is for student safety.
- Please do not drive into the bus lanes during arrival and dismissal. We separate cars and buses for safety. Many parents are using this as a short-cut and a way to turn left onto Nagel Rd and our students' and staffs' safety is being compromised. We would appreciate all car rider parents staying in the car rider lane.
