September 7, 2021
We hope everyone had a nice Labour Day weekend and are looking forward to a pleasant few days of warm weather ahead.
Upon reflection, many cool moments resonated since the start of our student registration and the first few days of classes last week.
To share one, it was how our Grade 11, and 12 students were so accommodating in welcoming our Grade 10s in navigating their new surroundings and helping them find classes and getting them comfortable.
This is an excellent example of what we are striving for, and being intentional about at SAL; looking out for one another, showing respect, the sense of responsibility, and in demonstrating compassion and integrity in our actions.
Another example that demonstrates resilience and a sense of responsibility was how our students were able to ‘pivot on a dime’ with our new mandatory masking protocol that came about late Thursday. We couldn’t be prouder of how our students conducted themselves to start the 2021 - 2022 school year.
Thank you Sabres!
To highlight this upcoming week, we will continue to focus on settling students into classes along with a number of engaging ‘welcome week’ activities, all in line with our EIPS safety protocols.
