The property was built as an Edwardian Manor in 2001. It was subsequently operated as Sarnia Park specialising as a wedding venue and providing accommodation until mid 2017 when the current owners purchased the property and worked tirelessly to deliver a country house hotel that feels like your personal estate, offering a warm, welcoming and 'just a little bit posh' escape from it all.

"The Chef designs each menu based on the freshest local and seasonal ingredients that we can get our hands on. We work with local farmers and suppliers to make sure we use as much local produce as we can... part of what we are doing over winter is building a new sustainable chef’s garden to fulfil our farm-to-fork dining philosophy….we will get our chef to take clients through the garden and explain what ingredients he uses..".

(unfortunately, because of Covid, the new chef's garden has not been built, but after our meal, he will tal to us about herbs he has used & those he plans to plant in his new garden.

we will also be up-dated on pland for Henley House.
