A Message from Our Principal
In our prayers this morning, we learned about the story of the Good Samaritan. A lawyer was questioning Jesus about the two Great Commandments. Jesus answered with the parable saying that we love our neighbor as we love ourselves. We take care of the vunerable just like the Samaritan took care of the traveler.
We continue to observe students who are arriving to school late. Please help us teach your child that being on time is very important. "Early is on time; on time is late."
Additionally, parents will no longer be able to walk their children to class in the mornings beginning, January 7, 2019. Now is a great opportunity to teach your child a little independence. It's what they need. It may make you feel good (I know it was for me), it's not really helping them.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
A Note to Parents
We are beginning our eighth (8) week of school. We need you to please have your children here on time. Your children miss out on essential bell-ringer activities and announcements, and most importantly, 8am morning prayers. It is also a great life lesson to learn to be on time. We need your help with this please.
Also, we encourage parents of Early Childhood to begin transitioning from walking your children to class to dropping them off at the cafeteria. It is best for the child. The positive gain from this is that your child becomes more and more independent and this transfers to their learning.
This is a reminder that during dismissal, we will call those students whose parents / guardians are in the carline first. The students of the parents who choose to walk up to pick up children, will wait until carline is complete. We ask that you not come into the building and bypass the carline. Our goal is safety and staying in your cars is the safest way to pick up your child. We have had several parents who are not following the practice. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
