Do Right
First, let me address the biggest issue of the week: Tiktok destruction to our school. I sent an email to parents Thursday afternoon to encourage you to speak with your student and let them know to report anything they see. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Despite the actions of some students, I truly believe most of our students make their best efforts on a daily basis and try to "Do Right". We have many achievements to celebrate this week, including the following:
Athletics: Girls Golf is is 7-1 on the year & just set a new record for low score at CR with a 167 Thursday night. They look forward to a Region win to qualify for Upper State in 2 weeks.
Tennis is 8-1 in the overall season, 5-0 in the region. Sara Maleady & Lilly L'esperance are undefeated. Senior night will be Thursday here at CR against Lancaster at 5:30. Volleyball is dominating in region play. Football has a 3-2 after a tough game against South Mech record and will start region play on October 1st! The Homecoming game is 10/1. Cross Country is preparing for a region meet Thursday. The Swim Team had another victory over 4 other schools at their meet this week and they are undefeated against regional opponents. They will host the regional swim on Oct 2nd at the Fort Mill Aquatic center.
Fine Arts: Band kicked off their competition season at the Carolina Exhibition of Bands at NaFo on Saturday. All Together Now, presented with Theatre 3's "Peter/Wendy" will run Nov. 12-13 @7pm. Check out student art exhibited in Wells Fargo, Tega Cay through October.
JROTC: 1st competition was last weekend - overall 1st place. Out of 13 events, the CRHS Corps of Cadets brought home eleven 1st place trophies and two 2nd place trophies.
Additionally, we had Club Rush this week. It's encouraging to see so many students involved in meaningful ways in our school. Please come out and support our students in their out-of-school activities - they work hard to make us Copperhead Proud!

Important Health & Safety Reminders
- Masks are highly encouraged by the FMSD for students and staff but are not mandated.
- Vaccination Cards (not required): If your student has been vaccinated, a screen shot of their card on their phone is recommended. This speeds up the process of approving students to remain in school if identified as a close contact. This is voluntary.
Student Dismissals: We have had an increase in attendance emails due to Covid tracing, so dismissal emails may not be checked until later in the day, which may cause you to miss your appointment. Moving forward, if you need to dismiss your student early for an appointment, you may send a signed note including your phone number with your student (NOT an email) to give to attendance the morning of the dismissal. Your student will receive a pass to leave at the stated time and meet you in the car rider line. If you do not send in a note, you must check your student out through the Front Office system, or if you are not able to come into the Front Office, you may call before 3:10 PM and we will verify information for dismissal. Per District Policy, we do not dismiss students after 3:10 PM.
- Item Drop-offs/Deliveries. We will no longer allow items to be dropped off in the front office. This includes food (school lunches are free- students will not go hungry), books, homework, instruments or athletic equipment.

Copperhead Bites
The Occupational Studies Program at CRHS created, branded, and implemented a School Based Enterprise called " Copperhead Bites" . The business began in spring of 2020 and is run by Occupational Studies students with the supervision of Occupational Studies staff. The process of running and working in a business is a Work Based Learning Experience that prepares students for real world employment experiences. The Copperhead Bites dog treats are made from scratch by students, packaged by students and sold to CR staff by students. Our recipe contains sun butter, whole wheat flour, honey , egg, oatmeal, and water.
