la playa
One of the draws of this beach is its proximity to the cute, cobbled colonial town of Trinidad on Cuba’s southern coast, but that’s by no means the only attraction. Playa Ancón comprises almost three miles of soft white sand, and there are great opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving in the warm Caribbean waters.

el centro comercial
At Avenida Salvador Allende between Arbol Seco and Retiro streets, Havana Centro is a large shopping mall with 3 floors, always crowded with people, sometimes with long queues at the shop entrances. The plaza has food shops, cafeteria, clothes, electronic consumer products, (VCR, TV etc.), and peso shops where you can buy all items for a fixed price of one or five peso. The plaza is a typical Cuban shopping experience.
el resturante
Kind of dark and dingy at first glance with a sort of cave-like atmosphere. Meals are quite good and being it a gov't establishment, it does not ding the wallet too much. A good value. Located on the busy Avenida Garzon, it is fairly central and hard to miss.
el gimnasio
