Thurgood Marshall
Accomplishments
Thurgood Marshall accomplished many things during his lifetime. Marshall was appointed the first African American Supreme Court Judge. Before being elected into the Supreme Court Justice Marshall had won more cases then any other American. Thurgood Marshall was the driving force behind ending segregation in schools. Most of Marshall's cases he was fighting for the equality of Black's. This is why Marshall deserves a national holiday.
Once said by Marshall "A child born to a Black mother in a state like Mississippi... has exactly the same rights as a white baby born to the wealthiest person in the United States. It's not true, but I challenge anyone to say it is not a goal worth working for." This shows that Marshall believed that Black's were not treated right and he wanted to change that.
