Where Learning Takes Flight
A Note from Mrs. Tallent
This week we started our MOCK STAAR Testing with 4th and 5th, and will continue next week with 5th and 3rd. This allows students an opportunity to experience the online platform and gives our teachers information to guide our instruction. Please reassure students that this is just like any other test they take in class and all we want is for them to try their best! It is not about what score they get or if they pass. It is a tool for us to use to guide our instruction and make small groups as we work to ensure that our students have mastered the TEKs.
We are currently going through a transition period as Mrs. Lopez, our Registrar/Attendance Specialist, has been promoted within the district! We are so excited for her, but know she will be missed by many! We will have support from Mrs. Lopez and the district until our new Registrar is able to start. Please feel free to email me at jamie.tallent@humbleisd.net if you have any questions about Kindergarten Registration or Kindergarten Round Up!
