End of 1st Quarter
The end of 1st quarter is this Friday, October 30. Help your child succeed by having him/her check PowerSchool to see all grading information (assignments, assessments, projects, etc.). Any assignments marked with an orange exclamation point are considered missing and should be completed and submitted to your child's teacher(s). Please make sure your child notifies any teachers of missing work that has been submitted for credit. As always, contact your child's teachers directly with any specific questions.

Willowbrook Transition Information for 8th Grade Students
In the past, Willowbrook High School has worked with both middle schools to use various sources of information to place students in Freshman courses at WBHS. These items included the PSAT, 8th grade fall MAP data, teacher recommendation, GPA, and student/parent/guardian input. Given the current condition and limitations, the PSAT and MAP Fall tests are not being administered.
Due to this change, Willowbrook Department Chairs and administration met with D45 8th grade teachers, Department Leaders, and building administration to identify alternatives for these assessments in both ELA and Math. Our teams are working together to identify resources that could be used for placement considerations at WBHS. The WBHS administration will communicate in greater detail at a later time once everything is finalized, but this is a general overview of our work thus far.
What can your 8th grader do? The answer is simple. Just remind your child to do his/her best on all classroom assignments, as good work habits increase assessment scores and provide a great foundation for both 8th grade and high school success.
