Love and Logic #1
This discipline approach is built around the science of respectful relationships.
"In this fast-paced video, Dr. Charles Fay takes a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of parenting young children." Charles uses entertaining stories and real-life examples while giving time-tested techniques for:
- Dealing with misbehavior in public
- Handling temper tantrums and melt-downs
- Teaching them to listen the first time you ask
- Taking power-struggles out of bedtime
- Responding to whining, back-talk or arguing
- Turning meals into fun times rather than frantic ones
- How to get them off to daycare, school, etc. without pulling your hair out
- And much more!
Child care will be provided.
IT'S COLD OUTSIDE
If it's a hardship getting an item, please let us know. We are happy to do whatever we can for your child.
First Step Frozen Night
The night will be filled with fun Frozen activities! There will be Sven's Snack Shack, Ice Skating, Olaf's snow friends games, and a few more activities set up for you to enjoy with your family. Sven, Kristoff and Olaf with be hanging around for pictures as well!
Martin Luther King Day-January 16
- 1. First Step and Kindergarten students will participate in an energizing presentation by Teju the storyteller who will teach us about African culture to make MLK day a celebration of tolerance and diversity.
- 2. Lisa Edge will be bringing her dog, Noah, to teach our First Step and Kindergarten students about physical limitations, likenesses and differences. Noah is blind and his back legs don’t work; but he can do much more than we would think.
- 3. Kindergarten students will be learning about Martin Luther King in Social Studies that day.
Martin Luther King day will be one of those memory making days for our students!
January 19th marks the end of the 2nd quarter! Half the year is finished already!
Professional Day Will Be A School Day
That means there WILL be SCHOOL that day!

A Note From Mrs. Haag
Welcome to 2017! Although the busy holidays are mostly behind us, at school we are very busy monitoring student learning, assessing what our kids know and learning where we need to adjust instruction. Teachers are working on the best strategies to increase achievement in academics as well as social-emotional goals. I hope 2017 is one of peace and prosperity to you and your family!
