High School Girls’ Uniform
Alhamdulillah, the high school girls have started receiving their uniforms! Girls have already been asked to order the correct pants and hijabs, so we should start seeing high school girls in uniform by Monday, insha’Allah. If anyone ordered only the skirt version, that will be ready within the next week, insha’Allah.
See the link below for full specifications.
If anyone has a problem with the sizing, the seamstress will come to school on Monday 09/26/2022 to fix it. If anyone has ordered more than one, these will start coming soon, insha’Allah. The first step was to have one uniform ready for every girl to begin with.
We appreciate everyone’s patience this year. We are already applying to a Muslim-owned uniform company that sells the same style, so we will not have these complications next year, insha’Allah. We found that you must apply the year before in order to be accepted as a customer.
Uniform Policy Reminder and Notices
Jazakum Allahu khairan to all students in the correct uniform. Some notices have gone out for those who have not. Random uniform checks will be done throughout the week and notices will be sent via JupiterEd.
The uniform guidelines for middle and high school students are below.
Elementary Bathroom Installation at AG
A bungalow with bathrooms for the elementary grades will be installed on Monday insha’Allah. Plumbing connections are planned after school hours this week to not interfere with the daily activities (and to avoid water shut-offs while school is in session). Insha’Allah, before the week is over, the upper elementary will not need to send students onto the middle/high school sections.
Elementary MAP testing
-4th grade will finish up on Tuesday, insha’Allah.
-5th grade will begin on Wednesday and finish on Friday, insha’Allah.
Progress reports
Alhumdulillah, we have been in school for five weeks by the end of next week. Therefore, it’s time for progress reports. Grades will be calculated through next Friday, Sep. 30, with the progress reports released the week after. All students should carefully check their grades and make sure everything is turned in.
Citizenship will be included on middle/high school report cards so that students may be aware of their grades. If someone is not pleased with their citizenship grade, they still have time to improve it. Talking with the teacher would be a good first step.
Science Fair Sign-ups, 6th - 12th
It’s time to start this exciting adventure of exploration again. As we continue to raise the bar of achievements, we are requesting that all students interested in participating this year sign up by September 26, using the link below to receive more information: https://forms.gle/RDG9zY4on5YqnJfu7
Science Fair is not part of the science class, and students are expected to do most of their work at home. Meetings with the science fair mentors will be available during lunchtime and Fridays after school.

New Clubs AT AG Campus
Interest in the student clubs is mounting with several launched by 8th graders.
Posters have been posted for the Film Club, led by Fateha Khurram. This club will meet during middle school lunch in Room 4 every Wednesday. A mentor is being recruited for the Debate Club, initiated by Yaqub Buul and Malik Mansour. And a Programming Club has been started by tech wizard Yusuf Kadry.
Watch for posters and announcements as details for each club are finalized.
Volunteer Procedures and Forms
Bright Horizon Academy values the volunteers who enhance the BHA programs.

Steps required for volunteers:

2- Turn in completed forms plus proof of a negative TB test to the Admin. This test must be performed within the last 4 years. TB tests must be kept current to continue volunteering.
