Prairie Lane Opening April 6

Westside Community Schools is excited to open Prairie Lane Elementary to students and staff on April 6, 2021. The school, located at 11444 Hascall Street, has undergone extensive renovation and new construction as part of Westside’s 2015 Facilities Master Plan and bond initiative.

Prairie Lane 6th grade students and their families will be special guests of honor at the April 5 Ribbon Cutting. This modified ceremony is otherwise closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, the District will host a public Open House for all to tour Prairie Lane on August 10, 2021. Westside Board of Education Meeting: Friday, April 9

The next Westside Board of Education meeting will be held Friday April 9 at 11:00am at Westside High School. The meeting will be shared live on Facebook, appearing on the district site once the meeting begins. CLICK HERE.

6th Grade Parent Information Nights

All 6th grade parents are invited to come learn all about Westside Middle School! Parents will learn about general expectations, schedules, grading and different activities that are offered to students.

  • Tuesday, April 13th 6:00 pm or 7:15 pm
  • Thursday, April 15th 6:00 pm or 7:15 pm

We will practice social distancing protocols by only allowing two people (Students will be getting this information at the Walkabout). Please sign up using this link 6th Grade Parent Information Night. You only need to sign up for one of the sessions.


Westside High's Dada Featured By Omaha Magazine

Westside High School Assistant Principal Tola Dada is highlighted in a new article inside Omaha Magazine! Reporter JD Avant shares how Mr. Dada and other Westside administrators like Ericka Payton, Jay Opperman and Dr. Mike Lucas are working to increase respect and inclusion as part of the new WE-Side Council throughout District 66. Among their goals: increased diversity in AP and Honors courses, and encouraging open and honest conversations and growth among students and staff.

Westside Staff Vaccinated, WOWT

Westside High Teacher of 27 years Curt Peterson was among the first Westside staff members to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Now, the same month reporter Brian Mastre & WOWT shared this story, all Westside employees who wanted the vaccine have received it through clinics across the Omaha metro area. Thank you to Westside Human Resources and public health officials!

Congratulations to the Westside students who competed at state DECA, including five teams who finished in the top three in their role-plays! These teams have now qualified for DECA Nationals - Go Warriors!

Registration will soon begin for families interested in Westside Early Childhood Centers and/or Club 66 for the 2021-2022 School Year, and Summer of 2021.


  • April 5th: Club 66 (WCS Kindergarten - 6th grade) registration for currently enrolled families
  • April 19th: Club 66 (WCS Kindergarten - 6th grade) enrollment is open to all families


  • Enrollment now open for all ages and families - $30 Registration Fee
  • May 1st - $50 Registration Fee
