What Does It Mean To Be An American Explorer In The Westward Expansion?

To be an american explorer meant that they had to go to great length to elaborate on their ideas of the land. It would of put a lot of pressure on the explorers because everyone depended on them to learn and experience different parts of the land. They also had to bring back information on plants, animals and geography, which was very difficult because if they brought back the wrong information they would be thought to be use less to the people because they couldn't complete their job. Being an American explorer would've been a lot of work because they had to sleep where ever their journey lead them and it could have been hard to find food in some place where there might not be any animals to hunt. The explores also had to watch their surroundings because there were many predators that could attack at any moment. American explores were very brave and smart people, they had the guts to go out and support their country. http://www.history.com/topics/lewis-and-clark

Manifest Destiny

Our Manifest destiny was the belief that United States were destine to expand westward. As Americans we know that we are able to expand on new land and accomplish what we want to do. The only problem is that when we tried to expand our land there were Native Americans who were already on the land that we wanted. We had to make agreements to have them move in order to get what we wanted. Americans are the same way because we also do what it takes to get what we want .
