Dear Everitt Families:

It was a great week at Everitt as our students wrapped up their work in their classes. Many of our elective classes are semester-long classes. The culminating projects in these classes allowed students to demonstrate their learning from the semester. This week, our Outdoor Leadership students presented their plans to address concerns that they see in the community. On Thursday afternoon, I had an opportunity to listen to their plans. The future is bright! Our students are working to address issues like cleaning up Clear Creek, recycling, mental health support for all students, healthy lunch options, having movement breaks at school (and using recess time for movement), and more. Their solutions are thoughtful and actionable and we are so proud of them. I also had an opportunity to watch some CO2 car races in tech ed. It was quite a competition!

On Thursday evening, our music students (band, orchestra, choir and ukulele) presented their winter concert with a theme of A Hero's Journey. Our students have grown so much as individual musicians and as ensembles.

On Monday, we will continue our celebration with an assembly at the end of the day. Tuesday is our last day of school for the semester and only students who have Ds and Fs need to attend. I hope you all have a wonderful break with your families and wonderful holidays if you celebrate them.

Thank you for supporting and believing in your neighborhood school. It is our privilege to partner with you!

ENROLL NOW FOR THE 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR

It's Time to Enroll, Jeffco!
Enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is now open through Friday, January 13, 2023. Completing enrollment helps our District prepare for next year’s staffing, budget, student resources, and more. Whether you will be attending your neighborhood school (K-12), returning to the same school, or applying to the school(s) of your choice, EnrollJeffco will provide the information you need to enroll in Jeffco Public Schools.

Please know that you can enroll in a K-12 school any time during Round 1. All applications submitted during each enrollment period will be considered equally as there is a lottery process. We encourage families to take their time to make the best decision on behalf of their student(s).

Not sure which school is best for your student? School Finder can help you make an informed decision for the 2023-24 school year.
