Dear Everitt Families:

It was a great week at Everitt as our students wrapped up their work in their classes. Many of our elective classes are semester-long classes. The culminating projects in these classes allowed students to demonstrate their learning from the semester. This week, our Outdoor Leadership students presented their plans to address concerns that they see in the community. On Thursday afternoon, I had an opportunity to listen to their plans. The future is bright! Our students are working to address issues like cleaning up Clear Creek, recycling, mental health support for all students, healthy lunch options, having movement breaks at school (and using recess time for movement), and more. Their solutions are thoughtful and actionable and we are so proud of them. I also had an opportunity to watch some CO2 car races in tech ed. It was quite a competition!

On Thursday evening, our music students (band, orchestra, choir and ukulele) presented their winter concert with a theme of A Hero's Journey. Our students have grown so much as individual musicians and as ensembles.

On Monday, we will continue our celebration with an assembly at the end of the day. Tuesday is our last day of school for the semester and only students who have Ds and Fs need to attend. I hope you all have a wonderful break with your families and wonderful holidays if you celebrate them.

Thank you for supporting and believing in your neighborhood school. It is our privilege to partner with you!

Dear Everitt Community,

Again, it is a pleasure to continue being part of a community that supports each other. Once again, we saw the generosity and greatness of this community, sometimes I don't know how to thank each one of you. I want to thank the PTA , the different organizations in the area, staff, parents and other members of the community who made " Giving Tree" possible. I hope that your generosity is multiplied a thousand times.

Have a happy holiday season with all your family and friends.

Our focus is on building lasting connections between families, getting to know our student’s teachers, and creating opportunities to come together as a community, valuing our diversity and celebrating our differences.

Thank you to everyone who attended our PTA meeting on the 7th! We heard from Ms. Grice our amazing STEM teacher and we also got to play and build with some of the materials she uses in our classroom, we love having interactive meetings! Due to the Winter break schedule, our next PTA meeting in January will be Wednesday January 11th (NOT the 4th). We also post reminders on our FaceBook site (https://www.facebook.com/groups/everittpta).

A couple other big items that were discussed at the meeting and we would like your involvement in are:

International Night will take place on March 9th, and it is a celebration of the diversity in our Everitt and Wheat Ridge communities. We would love your help in making this event a success! Please click on this google form: https://forms.gle/8SsyaL9fqR1aiyJq8 .

Everitt Sticker Contest: your student should have received an entry form for the Everitt Sticker Contest in Lab time this week. Please encourage them to design a sticker of their choice and turn it into their Lab teacher for the chance to win a $25 Starbucks gift card and 20 stickers for their friends! If your student forgot or would still like to submit a design, please drop it off at the main office Monday or Tuesday before break! It's Time to Enroll, Jeffco!
Enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is now open through Friday, January 13, 2023. Completing enrollment helps our District prepare for next year’s staffing, budget, student resources, and more. Whether you will be attending your neighborhood school (K-12), returning to the same school, or applying to the school(s) of your choice, EnrollJeffco will provide the information you need to enroll in Jeffco Public Schools.

Please know that you can enroll in a K-12 school any time during Round 1. All applications submitted during each enrollment period will be considered equally as there is a lottery process. We encourage families to take their time to make the best decision on behalf of their student(s).

Not sure which school is best for your student? School Finder can help you make an informed decision for the 2023-24 school year.
