College Application Blitz October 25th 9am to Noon
This event features several colleges that come to LHS but unlike most college fairs, students are to complete their college applications that day. The draw for students is that most campuses are waiving their application fees, which can be up to $60 (looking at you, OSUN) for the day.
Our event is open to all Licking County Seniors. Please pass it on. Seniors can register here. Please find a list of all colleges that plan to attend and note those waiving application fees.
Does your student have a job? Did you know they can earn elective credit for that?
A Fast Track to Success for Graduating Seniors
In Ohio, we hear a lot about in-demand, well-paid, hands-on careers in the fields of health, technology, automation, construction, public safety, manufacturing, etc.
The news is filled with stories about Intel and other businesses seeking to expand in Ohio.
How can students be prepared to take advantage of careers in these fields and emerging technologies?
We hope you'll join us on October 13th at 6:30 pm. All who register will receive the recording.
Intended audience: All grades are welcome to tune in to hear this message; however, Ohio parents of 11th & 12th graders thinking about their student’s future after high school are a perfect fit to hear this message.
Even if your student isn't a fit for these industries, well-informed parents will appreciate hearing this message so they can spread the info to their friends.
We'd be grateful if you could share this message with your friends.

Meet Lasse and Yael
Lasse is from Germany, Halstenbek, a small town right next to one of the biggest cities in Germany, which is Hamburg.
His school in Germany is about the size of Lakewood, around 600-700 Students. He lives 15 minutes away from his school there, so rides his bike every morning to school.
He is playing on the Lakewood Lancers Football Team. He also wants to play in the first-ever boys' Volleyball team.
His favorite subject is definitely Strength Training because "We don't have this subject in Germany and it is just a lot of fun."
Yael is from Segorbe, Spain. His high school in Spain is very different. The school is inside a town surrounded by buildings, we have 3 soccer fields, 1 basketball court and a little gym. "The schedule changes every day and I have more or less 12 subjects. And we don't have extracurricular activities, instead we have clubs in the town."
Yael would like to do soccer and track.
His favorite subject is computers and mobile applications.
