What they lived in
The Aleut tribe lived in
dome shaped sculptures made
from snow that freezes and turns
into ice. These sculptures are
called igloos.
What they ate
The Aleut tribe hunted their
food. The most common animals
they hunted were foxes, caribou,
polar bears, seals, walruses,
and whales. They killed their food
with harpoons. A harpoon is a
spear like object attached to a long
pole.
Tools they used
The Aleut tribe used mostly
mostly harpoons for hunting.
They also used seal bones to
make many of their other tools.
What they did
The Aleut tribe spend a
lot of time hunting and
preparing their food. They
work together to make tools
and to build their home.

They used kayaks to hunt some of their food
They lived in groups in each group 60 to 300
people.
