Welcome Back Gold Week Students
This past week we happily welcomed back our Blue Team students! We made a few adjustments and learned a few things along the way! Now, we welcome back our Gold Team students on Monday, September 28th -- we can't wait to see you too!
Below we have detailed various points of information regarding our schools' significant changes and some important dates & events. As always, we thank you for your continued support during this time and implore you to direct any questions/concerns you have regarding your child's learning to the classroom teacher or building administrator to assist.

Check out these helpful charts & videos on Genesis, Chromebooks, Google Classroom, and Google Apps. FTSD classes are live this year whether you are at home or in the classroom! Student attendance is mandatory. While your child is working remotely, please encourage them to be attentive and continually refer to the guidelines below created to highlight the FTSD expectations and recommendations for virtual learning.

Sports Spectator Expectations, Tickets and Policies:
It's about that time! We're officially kicking off our FTMHS Fall Sports season with our first scheduled games starting next week. All sports schedules can be found at https://florence.rschoolteams.com/ and we hope you'll come cheer on our Flashes! With that being said, below is a rundown of what to expect when attending the games:
Who May Attend
Spectators will be permitted at athletic events
Please limit your attendance to 4 adult family members per athlete
Minor dependents may attend if accompanied by a parent/guardian
Students wishing to attend must be accompanied by adult family and be under that adults direct supervision
We reserve the right to adjust these policies, if and when the circumstances change
Spectator Expectations
All spectators must wear a face covering with on school grounds
Please maintain your social distance from family members in different households
Family members who live together do not need to distance from each other
Social distancing signs are posted throughout the facility as a reminder
If you are not feeling well or unable to follow or social distancing procedures, you are not permitted to attend that event
We reserve the right to adjust these policies, if and when the circumstances change
Facilities
There will be no indoor access, bathroom use will be permitted in the football stadium field house
Bleachers have been removed from the field hockey and soccer fields to promote social distancing
Please bring your own chair for field hockey and soccer events
For soccer and field hockey events please sit behind the green poles to leave a safe distance for our players
No concessions will be sold
We reserve the right to adjust these policies, if and when the circumstances change
Ticket Procedure (Field Hockey and Soccer)
No tickets will be needed

Ticket Procedure (Home Football Games Only)
We are limited to a 500 max capacity at our facility
It must be a 60/40 split (300 tickets home team, 200 tickets away team)
Ticket Costs:
$4 adults
$2 students (Grade K-12)
Free Senior Citizens (Over 60)
Ticket Purchasing
Our goal is to get family members of football, cheer, and band priority purchasing opportunities with this system
200 tickets will be given to the away team for sale at their discretion. They will have from Monday to Thursday to sell tickets.
Any unsold tickets will be returned to us and sold at the door.
300 tickets will be sold for home sales. Below is the breakdown of how home tickets will be sold:
Monday & Tuesday (of game week) - Football, Cheer and Band families can purchase a max of 2 tickets
Wednesday & Thursday (of game week) - Anyone/Fall teams can buy an 2 tickets
Please have your child bring an envelope to the screening tent clearly labeled with the following:
Name of Child
Number of Tickets
Type of Tickets (Adult,child, etc.)
Amount Enclosed (cash only)
Any unused home and away tickets will be sold at the door
There will be a strict enforcement of a no re-entry policy during home football games
Once we hit our 500 max. in ticket sales we will be forced to close entry to the event
Everyone will need a ticket to enter

RIVERFRONT PICTURE INFORMATION
FULL remote students...please see schedule below for pictures. Everyone should have received your picture day flyer during materials pickup day, however it is highly encouraged to place your online order prior to your child's scheduled day.

Health Screening Form IS A MUST:
REMINDER...All students and faculty MUST complete the online health screening form each day! This form is available 6:00 p.m. prior to the school day and for the safety of our students and staff it must be completed prior to the child arriving on campus each day. If the form is not completed, your child should not report to the school building. We do understand that completing the form daily may be an inconvenience; however, it is for the safety of all students and staff.
TIP: Set a reminder on your phone so you remember to do it each day!
The student form located in the Genesis Student Management System must be completed prior to your child arriving each day.
To obtain the form:
Log in on the Genesis Parent Portal (https://parents.genesisedu.com/florence)
Select Student Data
Click on forms
Complete your child’s daily Covid Daily Form .
To make a shortcut of the website on a smartphone:
Go to the Safari app on your smartphone and in the search area type in https://parents.genesisedu.com/florence
Go to the bottom of the screen and click on the following icon
Scroll until you see the option (Add to Home Screen)
This will add the website icon to your main screen for easy access.
Transportation Update:
Parents picking up at FTMHS should park in the athletic parking lot only!
For students being bussed, prior to entering the bus please:
Download the "Here Comes the Bus app!"
Arrive at your bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup;
At the bus stop, students must remain 6 feet apart;
All students must wear a face mask at the bus stop and throughout the bus ride;
Face masks must be worn throughout the school day.
Please note that we are operating at a decreased capacity due to social distancing safety protocols and there will only be 22 students per bus. There may be some delays as we navigate this new schedule, however if you have questions or concerns, please contact the Transportation Office directly at (609) 499-4620 ext. 4711 or 4712. Thank you for your cooperation!
Get your Breakfast & Lunch:
The USDA has extended the District's ability to distribute FREE MEALS TO ALL FLORENCE SCHOOL DISTRICT STUDENTS through December 31, 2020 "or until the funds run out." Because this distribution will end by December 31, families are encouraged to apply now for Free and Reduced Price Meals for the 2020-2021 school year.
If you would like your child(ren) to receive breakfast & lunch you MUST sign up in advance by clicking on the "Virtual Breakfast/Lunch" tab on the school district website www.florence.k12.nj.us. We are preparing meals based on the signup sheet so it is mandatory to complete the form if you want your child(ren) to receive meals.
Students ordering lunch/breakfast and who are present in the building each day will have the lunches/breakfast delivered to their last period class each day they are in session. Please note the child(ren) will receive their lunch for the day and breakfast for the next morning in one bag.
Virtual students (a virtual week or parental request to be virtual) may order bulk lunch/breakfast for the week. Lunches/breakfast will be available for pickup on Mondays between 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Riverfront School cafeteria.

BEFORE/AFTER CARE PROGRAM
We still have openings for our EMP/EDP Care. This service is available starting Monday, September 21st to our school district children on the days they attend hybrid learning. Please complete the registration link at https://forms.gle/Htm76WBXdhNWpwtz6 or contact the EMP/EDP Coordinator at gdunphy@florence.k12.nj.us if you are interested in enrolling your child for our childcare services.
