Help us be good Neighbors
Our neighbors have expressed concerned with parking and aggressive driving in the residential areas surrounding our schools. Please continue to practice patience and understanding during busy drop off/pick up times. Our SRO will continue to monitor and ticket traffic violations in the area.
Thank you to our wonderful school counseling team!
Thank you: Mrs. Kissel, Mrs. Feltch, Mrs. Williamson, Mrs. DeFoney, Mrs. Ziegenbein, Ms. Holecheck, Ms. Hoff and Mrs. Berg! Valhalla is blessed with an amazing counseling team! We appreciate all you do to help our students be college and career ready!
Coming Monday February 7th - Extended Lunch
The No Hate Tour features the world’s top X Games BMX athletes on our state-of-the-art mobile box-jump ramp to put on a live energetic show. At the same time, we provide students with valuable bullying prevention tools and help promote a No Hate environment. The educational message is delivered in a fun and engaging way that will resonate with each student and encourage a positive school climate.
The Valhalla counseling team presented course selection information for the 2022-2023 school year to all current 11th grade students this week in their English classes. As promised, the Course Selection Google Form is now open (linked below), so students can submit their requests. The form will be due on Monday, February 14th. As we informed students, they can only submit ONCE, so we want them to consider their selections carefully. There is no priority or advantage to submitting early. In addition, this form is ONLY for current juniors in the Class of 2023. We will be working with current 9th and 10th graders in the coming weeks. Please note that students must be logged in with their GUHSD email in order to submit the form. We sent them an email on Friday to inform them the form was open and we provided a number of resources to help them with their selections. We encourage students and families to make use of the following links and resources:
11th Grade Student Presentation- includes all of the information we presented this week.
Course Descriptions Folder- includes all of our course descriptions, including prerequisites.
Course Selection Website- Please visit this page on our counseling website for a number of helpful links and further information.
Counselors will be meeting with all 11th grade students one-on-one the week of February 22nd-28th to review their choices and answer any questions they might have. We ask that students use this time to ask any questions they or you may have about course selections. Thank you!
