Knowledge From College
Dear Pasco Elementary Families,
On behalf of the entire Pasco Elementary staff, welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. Over the summer, the staff worked so hard to get our campus cleaned, sanitized, organized and ready for the school year. Our staff participated in professional development training this summer to learn more about Conscious Discipline strategies, our new language arts curriculum and the common expectations of our school. We invite you to learn more about this work during our Virtual Open House on Thursday, September 2 beginning at 5:00 p.m. All grade levels will present at this time as a team with one presentation. Please expect an email to go out on Monday, August 30th with the zoom link. If you have children in more than one grade, please choose 1 grade level to attend. The information will be very similar as we are using a school wide format. Pasco County Schools has asked that we limit in person contact for quarter 1 for everyone's health and wellness. We hope you can virtually join us!
Parents, we are working very hard to improve the efficiency of our dismissal procedures. Here are a few things you need to know to help the process be efficient.
- All visitors need a valid identification when at our school.
- Car riders - It is very important to have your car rider tags with you. We are happy to give you a set for each vehicle. This is our way to know that the driver is approved for pick-up. Without the tag, we will radio the office to check on the person picking up the child and this slows our process down.
- Walk Up - It is important to have your walk-up tag with you at walk up pick up. This is our way of knowing the person is approved for pick up. Without the tag, we will radio the office to check on the person picking up the child and this slows our process down.
- Change of Transportation - To report a change of transportation, you must call the front office before 2:00 p.m. We write a change of transportation slip and deliver these to the classroom. We cannot guarantee accuracy of this change if it is made later than 2 p.m.
We appreciate your assistance in making our dismissal procedures efficient. At Pasco Elementary, we believe communication between home and school is essential.
This newsletter will be published in the beginning of each month on Dojo and our Pasco Elementary School Facebook. We also use School Messenger to send mass emails, so please make sure your email is current on your Parent Portal.
Thank you for all you do to prepare your children for a safe and fun experience at school. Have a Pirate Pride day!
