Anne Weston Worthley Memorial Library
Anne Weston Worthley taught fourth grade in the Newburgh, Hampden and Winterport schools for many years. She loved teaching her students, and she especially loved introducing them to a wide range of exciting, interesting, and memorable books. She believed that a good book had the power to transport readers into amazing adventures, introduce them to new ideas, or create a space for the imaginings.
Mrs. Weston's longtime book club members (CBBC) have been reading over the last year to curate books for our fourth grade libraries. On Wednesday, Mrs. Birmingham, Mrs. Hardy, Mrs. Whitehouse, and Mrs. Randall received their selections in addition to a $45 Amazon Gift Card to select additional titles to add to their classroom libraries. We honor Mrs. Worthley's amazing legacy and are grateful to her book club.
