Round of applause and a big THANK YOU to all our students, their families and friends in the community locally and beyond (4 countries, 32 other states) for helping the PTA reach their goal through the DanceFit event last week. If all pledges are collected and companies that are eligible to do matching (which the PTA gets 100% for corporate matching) we made over $15,000 to not only to purchase Lexia but support other opportunities within our school.

Vision Martial Arts

Vision Martial Arts is offering a 6-week virtual course to all Penny Road Elementary students. They will receive 2 interactive Zoom classes per week with our instructors and a 10 min “Meet the Instructor” meeting before their first class. Each student will also receive a uniform and belt to train in. Our instructors will drop the uniform off at their house before their first class. The cost for the 6 weeks is $69 and the PTA will receive $65 back to the school.

To sign up, click PRES fundraiser to fill out the form. Once an adult fills out the form on behalf of a PRES student, a Vision Martial Arts instructor will contact them with more information and collect the $69 payment at that time.

The PTA Nominating Committee is seeking volunteers to serve on the Executive Board and as Chairpersons to various committees. While this school year may look a little different, the PTA is still committed to helping every child at Penny Road reach his or her full potential!

If interested or you want to learn more, please e-mail Joy Mega at by November 1, 2020. A member of the Nominating Committee will follow-up with detailed information regarding the Executive Board and Chairperson positions. A virtual meeting will be scheduled at a later date to meet with all interested individuals.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Today is a good day to thank a teacher! To welcome the teachers back to school last week, the PTA chalked the sidewalks and left goodie bags to “O-fishally” welcome them back to school grounds.
