Mrs. Wilde's Class
Mrs. Wilde’s 1st grade class had a great day on Pumpkin Day! They made predictions on the weight, circumference, and the number of lines that were on their pumpkins. They also predicted the number of seeds inside their pumpkin and if their pumpkin would sink or float. Finally, they listened to Pumpkin stories on Epic and read non-fiction text in their Scholastic News magazine.
1st grade having fun on Halloween. They had a great time at the Halloween party decorating masks and making mummies.
Mrs. Fillette's Class
First grade enjoyed a day full of pumpkin investigation. These scientists in action predicted, measured, weighed, counted, checked predictions, and carefully observed and recorded their discoveries. Students utilized many various strategies. Their scientific thinking was amazing!
Kindergarten
Students in kindergarten learn about their speech helpers from Ms. Rothstein. This helps all students learn to produce sounds correctly and improve articulation.
Fourth Grade
4th grade researching their own heritage as part of our first Lead 21 reading unit focusing on heritage and culture.
Gym Class
5th and 6th grade students at Buckingham enjoyed a nice November day outside playing “Capture the Football”!
This was the second lesson in our Football Unit and one the most requested activities by the students at Buckingham!
First Grade Recess
First grade students show good sportsmanship during a game of “clothespin tag” out on the recess yard!
Roxy Reading Dog- Teddy Bear
Students in Mrs. Farrell’s classroom love reading with Teddy Bear!
Sixth Grade
Sixth grade students solving fraction division problems and illustrating their process using bar models. What a great way to show their thinking and understanding!
"One District One Book"
Buckingham students enjoyed reading the “One District One Book” selection RULES, by Cynthia Lord. As a celebration, kids made up “rules” of their own to help students (especially new students) understand what it takes to be a Mighty Knight. AWESOME rules, kids!
