PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Good afternoon, Hidden River Community!
A couple of highlights from our 1st Week:
6th graders and our 8th grade WEB Leaders had a fantastic day exploring Hidden River on Tuesday. We are excited to have such an enthusiastic group of 6th graders joining our community.
6th grade families who were able to meet with us on Tuesday afternoon-- thank you for your support, interest, and desire to be involved here at school.
ALL students are learning what it looks like to “be a Hawk.” We have spent a lot of time this week engaging in activities that help ALL our students understand and practice our Hidden River Core Values: Attitude, Respect, Commitment, and Service. You would be proud of your students with all of the great ideas they have developed for how to build a strong school community this year.
We have a lot of new staff this year, who are all injecting new energy, perspective, and enthusiasm into our work. We are excited to welcome the following new staff members:
Samantha Abbott: 6th and 7th Math, and Spanish
Valerie Walker: 6th and 8th Math, and 6th Science
Josh Moser: 8th ELA, and 6th Science
Meleia Peloquin: Special Education
Kirsten Parsons, Jamie Harris, Elise McKee: Para-educators
Jenna Monson and Jill Skold: Office staff
A couple of dates to have on your calendar for down the road:

IMPORTANT CAR PICK-UP SAFETY
PARENTS/CAREGIVERS: There are 2 ways to pick up your student from Car Drop.
- Getting in line with the rest of the cars and pulling up to the front of the school at the curb.
- Parking your car in the parking lot, use the designated crosswalks and come to the front of the school to walk your student to your car. No student is allowed to go into the parking lot unsupervised or not accompanied by an adult.
Please remember when picking up your student to always follow the car in front of you in the pick-up line. Even though there happens to be a space up ahead of you, please be patient and do not pull out of the line to go ahead as it is an accident waiting to happen. Our para-eds are doing the best they can to keep the line moving. Let's keep everyone safe! Thank you for your patience and attention to this matter.
