Happenings on the Hilltop
The Glance - August 21, 2022
BACK TO SCHOOL!
On August 17, we kicked off the new school year with smiles, cheers, and high-fives all around! Seeing our students back in the classroom and chapel filled our hearts with happiness. The first day of school was exciting and challenging for some students...and parents! The school day went by quickly, and we soaked up every minute! Our students from PK3-8th grade settled in, made friends, and spent time learning about the St. Luke's Way. We are happy to have each and every one of them here with us.
ALTAR GUILD MINISTRY
We also want to give a big thank you to last year's ministry group for their time and dedication.
- Lynnette Embrey
- Tanya Garza
- Whitney Ormond
- Lina Triesch
Questions? Please email Reverend Reagan at reagang@stlukes-sa.net.
THANK YOU PARENT COUNCIL!
On August 16, Parent Council sponsored a luncheon to celebrate SLES faculty and staff. The food from Teka Molina was delicious and gave our hard-working team a chance to sit down, chat, and break bread together before the school year officially began. The SLES staff would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Parent Council for organizing a fun (and delicious) event for us.
WHAT A WEEK!
Parent Council is so thankful for the support at Tiger Tracks and loved mingling with new faces and eager volunteers at the Volunteer Kickoff this past week! We are excited to start a new school year focused on further enriching our students' experience on campus!
If you missed us at Tiger Tracks or the Volunteer Kickoff but want to be more involved, please fill out this form, and we will be in touch!
If you are able to support Parent Council financially to help make our students' experience even more magical, please complete this form. Thank you!

BUILDING MEMORIES BRICK BY BRICK
In celebration of 75 years, we invite you to purchase a brick and leave a lasting legacy at St. Luke's Episcopal School!
Legacy Bricks are the perfect gift for a birthday, holiday, or tribute to someone special. Your fully tax-deductible donation will pave the way for students while supporting the Capital Campaign - Connecting Tradition to Tomorrow.
THE MCNAB FAMILY GYM
Did you notice the brand new court in the McNab Family Gym at Tiger Tracks? Physical education is an important part of a well-rounded education because it encourages healthy habits, improves prosocial behavior, reduces stress, and helps students concentrate. We want to thank the generosity of donors who made this happen. Pictured is Ms. McIntire's Kindergarten class learning about playing safely in the gym.
YOUR FAITH MATTERS
Welcome back to a bright new school year! As your Chaplain, I want you to know what an honor and a privilege it is for me to know and love the students & families at St. Luke’s Episcopal School. Wondering together about God, faith, and all the mysteries surrounding it, is one of the most beloved and important parts of my job. Rest assured, your child belongs here. They are a part of the St. Luke’s family. Your faith and their faith matters to SLES.
To help me get to know your family, your faith, practices and values, please fill out the Your Faith Matters to SLES form. Remember, you are always invited to and welcome at Daily Chapel. It is a beautiful way to start your day.
